Notelog: Notes for Wear OS

Notelog is a notes app that lives on your Wear OS watch. Write something down in a few seconds, find it again later, and keep the note that matters one glance away on your watch face.

WRITE IT DOWN
• Tap + to write with your watch's own input screen: the keyboard, or handwriting and voice where your watch offers them.
• Tap VOICE to dictate. Notelog listens through your watch's speech recognition and saves what it hears as a new note.
• Choose the dictation language in settings, or let it follow the watch language.
• The first line becomes the title, so there is no separate title field to fill in.
• A note holds up to 2,000 characters, and Notelog puts no cap on how many notes you keep.

FIND IT AGAIN
• Pinned notes stay at the top. Everything else is sorted by its last change.
• Search reads the whole text of every note, not only the titles, and ignores upper and lower case.
• Open a note to read all of it on the round screen.

EDIT AND ORGANISE
• Edit a note on the watch, with a character counter as you go.
• Add to an existing note by voice without retyping it.
• Pin or unpin a note, and give it one of four colours: Lime, Sky, Amber or Violet.
• Deleting asks first, because it cannot be undone.

TWO COMPLICATIONS AND A TILE
Notelog provides two complications for any watch face that accepts them:
• Quick note: an icon or a short "+ NOTE" label. Tap it to start a new note straight from the watch face.
• Pinned note: your pinned note, or your most recent one when nothing is pinned, as a short title or a longer line of text. Tap it to open that note.
The Notelog tile shows the same note among your tiles and opens the app in one tap. Both refresh when you change your notes.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Standalone: no phone app, no account, no sign-in.
• Notes are stored on the watch. Notelog has no internet permission and sends your notes nowhere.
• The only permission is the microphone, requested the first time you tap VOICE. Typing never needs it. Dictation is handled by the speech recognition service on your watch.

GOOD TO KNOW
• The app's interface is in English. Dictation works in the languages your watch's speech service supports.
• Requires Wear OS 3 or later.
