Temari Japanese Watch Face

Temari is a Japanese thread ball for your Wear OS smartwatch. A ball wound in indigo silk, stitched over in ivory, coral and gold, with four instruments set into it behind rope bezels.

🧵 WOUND IN INDIGO SILK
The whole dial is a temari: fine silk thread wound layer on layer, with a geometric lattice stitched across it in ivory, coral and gold. Sixteen knots ring the edge, the way a real temari is divided before it is stitched.

🕐 DIGITAL OR ANALOG
Ships as a digital: weekday and day, the hour, then AM/PM and the running seconds, stacked down the middle of the ball. Switch to analog for pale silver hands and a gold-rimmed date window.

⌚ FOUR DATA SLOTS, YOUR SIZE
Four wells at 12, 3, 6 and 9, each sunk into the silk behind a braided rope bezel with a sixty-tick stitch track around it. Steps, battery, heart rate and sunrise by default, and each one changeable to whatever you prefer. Choose Large, Medium, Small, or a silk knot instead.

⚙️ OR OPEN THE BALL
Turn the movement window on and the well at six o'clock becomes an opening onto a running mechanism, with two wheels turning against each other. In digital it becomes a quartz clock board instead, its circuit breathing and two indicator lights blinking.

🎨 FOUR THREAD COLOURS
Ivory, coral, gold and silver change the colour of the readouts to another thread from the ball.

🌙 AMBIENT MODE
Optimised for always-on display. The ball fades to black and the sixteen knots stay: with the dimmed time in digital, with the dimmed hands in analog.
