I was a bit skeptical of this app, but it's actually really good! It reminds me a lot of Duo before it got all flashy and always yelling at you to subscribe. This one barely tells you to sub, and gives a lot for free. I really do enjoy the kanji lessons here, I think they're well done. However, I really can't stomach the thought of paying such a high priced subscription for a single app. I wish I could just buy the kanji part or individual collections separately and keep them forever.

so, I'm on premium now. one month the payment didn't go through and all the lessons I unlocked were locked again. since I'm paying, leave my lessons open. I already paid them, leave them open for review or something. this is really unfair. other than that, I love this app. the pronunciation and explanation of the grammar is easy to understand. I'd like more vocab tho, if you can, make a similar one to "Japanese Stories" one you have it's amazing

An excellent beginner-friendly app! Runs smoothly. I was confused why ふ says "fu" but is pronounced "hu". I wish there was an explanation for little things like that. I enjoy it much better than Duolingo. I am more relaxed with YU. I like how I can get things wrong, go back and do better, and not be penalized or lose lives, do poorly in a leaderboard, etc. It's fun, but not TOO game like, if you know what I mean.

The pronunciation of ふ is somewhere between “fu” and “hu.” In native words such as ふれる and ふじ, it often sounds closer to “hu,” while in loanwords such as フード, it may sound closer to “fu.” Both “fu” and “hu” can be typed as ふ,although “fu” is the standard romanization.Please share your feature suggestions through the Feedback section,We’ll record it
