About this app

Brought to you by the developer that built the smartest photo scanner app, Photomyne is proud to now offer an AI-powered negative film scanner app that will blow you away. See how those hidden negative memories are instantly revealed, scanned and saved!

IT’S AUTOMATIC - JUST ADD CAMERA FILM NEGATIVES:
1. Open a backlight source on your computer (or use the link provided in the app)
2. Hold the film strip vertically in front of the light
3. Long-press the capture button
4. See negatives magically scanned and images revealed

The app’s scanning algorithm automatically inverts colors and enhances the image so you get the best possible scans of your old film negatives.

CELEBRATE YOUR NEWLY SCANNED FILM NEGATIVES:
* Save the new digital photos to your phone
* Share your photos and collages with the people you love

OPTIONAL IN-APP UPGRADE:
The first few photos are free. For unlimited use, consider purchasing an optional paid plan (in-app purchase).
Here are the premium features you get with a paid plan:
* Unlimited scanning
* Unlimited photo saving and sharing
* Photo backup and access on other devices and online.

The app offers an optional paid plan via monthly/yearly auto-renewing subscriptions**, as well as a One-Time plan which is paid for by a single upfront payment (valid for 2 years). These offer unlimited access to the premium mentioned above.

The app itself maybe useful, I immediately uninstalling because the forced tutorial at the beginning is extremely frustrating. There should be an option to skip the tutorial, especially for users who simply want to explore and try the app on their own. Please let users choose whether they want to follow the tutorial or discover the features themselves. A short “Skip” button would make the experience much better.

Thanks for sharing this feedback, Puguh. We understand how frustrating it can be when you just want to jump in and explore an app on your own. We really appreciate the suggestion for a “Skip” option and will share it with our team -feedback like this helps us improve the experience for new users.

Don't bother. You can do the same with a good photo editing app that takes pictures in negative. Also don't bother because you get charged to do that with this app. Im a professional photographer and you can get the same sort of thing using free software. You don't even get the chance by watching adverts as it doesn't let you do anything with the photos for free. Seems the developer gets money from you or from ads. But you get jack... Total waste of time scanning all my photos.

We're truly sorry to hear this, Matthew. We understand how frustrating it is to invest time scanning your photos and feel disappointed with the experience. We'd appreciate the chance to learn more and help if we can. Please reach out to us at support@photomyne.com—we'd be happy to look into this and do our best to make things right.

As others described, cropping and curled negatives are a difficult to manage - a 2nd pass in an editor to crop, color. Worst part is mobile - PC interface. Many times shots show on mobile, but desktop msg is "no photos available". I gave this a 50 strip test - just to glitchy to do more. I can almost live with low quality photos, but the time it takes to redo and keep track is a deal-buster for me.

Thank you for reaching out to us. Try to hold the negative 2 inches (5 cm) away from the computer screen in order not to have the image pixelated. The camera needs to see the side holes to crop properly. Please try again and let us know how it goes.
