DO NOT RUN THIS APP FOR EXTENDED PERIODS OF TIME, IT WILL BURN THE SPEEDO INTO YOUR PHONE SCREEN. I downloaded this and tried it out for the first time today, thought it seemed like a really solid idea, a speedo app with no ads, but was quickly proven wrong when I tested it out with a short ride around town on my motorcycle, I had this open for less than 2 hours and it has burned the speedo into my phone screen. I have left other stationary apps open all night and never had that happen before.

Thank you for your review. The effect on your screen is called image retention, which is temporary (unlike burn-in). It can occur after 1-2 hours, especially at max brightness, and usually lasts a few minutes. Permanent burn-in takes hundreds of hours at max brightness. If you are concerned, consider turning off analog dial and reducing brightness.

It's pretty good, but it uses a LOT of battery, which isn't cool when you're on a vintage motorcycle with no power cord to use for the phone, and don't want to add one and clutter things up. In response to the developer's answer...I understand how they work. I'll be more clear. I've experimented with 4 other apps in this realm, yours is the 5th. Yours, by far, uses more of my battery. On the same 75 mile trip to work, yours uses 30-35% versus a worst of 21% with other apps I've tried.

Thanks for the feedback! Speedometer & navigation apps usually drain your battery faster than regular apps. The app must keep your phone's physical GPS hardware actively communicating with satellites every single second of your trip. Also, in direct sunlight, the screen needs to be much brighter, which drains the battery even faster.

not accurate. the app recorded my max speed at 119 mph. My actual top speed was 140 mph

Thank you for your review. Please note that vehicle speedometers are generally designed to slightly overreport speed as a safety precaution. Another possible reason for the difference could be a weak GPS signal. Please make sure the device has a clear view of the sky for the best connection with the satellites.
