Automus is built for streaming playback. Content that is not available for streaming, such as personally uploaded songs, may have limited compatibility.

PRIVACY

Your password is never stored by Automus. Sign-in happens on your phone, not on your car screen.

Automus collects anonymous usage analytics and crash reports to improve app stability (Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics).

Can't complain since this the only way to access Apple Music on AAOS, but my biggest issue is the app fails to connect after a few days and only works if you sign out and back in again (regardless of connection strength). Got so annoying that I just stopped using the app and went back to BT or CarPlay. Skipping tracks is also sluggish. You end up waiting 4-5 seconds for the next track to play

I normally do not pay for apps-I use only free ones-but I was very excited to be able to have access to my Apple Music on my Equinox EV. I am glad to have that, but the app is very clunky. Songs will play for a few seconds and skip. Songs will play and then restart halfway through. A song that is paused for a phone call or something similar will rarely start from where it left off. I’m glad to have access to Apple Music, but I expected more from an app that I had to pay for.

Such a useful app which works really well in the Polestar 4 and provides an easy way to use Apple Music without having to rely on CarPlay the whole time. Easy to navigate, follows the Apple UI, does what it says and does it really well. Minor niggle is the fact it can’t buffer, but this is rarely an issue TBH. Not enough of a problem to remove any of the 5 stars anyway. Well worth the money 🙂
