ICEY is a 2D side-scrolling action game. As you follow the narrator's omnipresent voice, you will see through ICEY's eyes and learn the truth about her world.

“ICEY is a Meta game in disguise. The narrator will constantly urge you in one direction, but you must ask, "Why? Why am I following his directions? Why can't I learn the truth about this world and ICEY's purpose here?" Fight against his tyranny, and uncover what's really going on for yourself!

Other than its awesome visuals, the game has a more comedic approach for its narrator, it feels fresh and i had a great time playing it. Furthermore, the game's storytelling isnt great at first glance, but once u start exploring outside of the main content/different endings, more of the world and darker stories gets revealed Tho for the gameplay, after the first clear theres not really anything that is considered hard but its fine cuz the side content is actually the main selling point

A lot more than meets the eye, this game actually requires multiple play throughs to get the full story. Unlike with other narrator driven titles, DO NOT ASSUME ANYTHING. I wont go into detail but it suffices to say that many seem to think this is a short game when it is anything but, there are MULTIPLE weaving story lines that make up the full story and if you do not stray from the beaten path (sometimes to an absurd degree) you won't get the full experience. Hint: the definition of insanity

Icey is an excellent 2D action game. The controls are tight, the combat is "easy to learn difficult to master" type. Also, the art in this game is phenomenal for such a cheap price, and the soundtrack are good too, throughout my 10 hours gameplay, I didn't get bored by it. Finally, about the story. At first, the story seems like nothing more than background. However, the real charm are the narrator also you are required to explore as much as possible to enjoy the REAL story.
