About this app

Everything about iOS is designed to be easy. That includes switching to it. With just a few steps, you can migrate your content automatically and securely from your Android device with the Move to iOS app. No need to save your stuff elsewhere before switching from Android. The Move to iOS app securely transfers all kinds of content data for you:

Apps
Calendars
Call logs
Contacts
Camera photos and videos
Mail accounts
Message history
Voice memos
WhatsApp content

Make sure to keep your devices nearby and connected to power until the transfer is complete. When you choose to migrate your data, your new iPhone or iPad will create a private Wi-Fi network and find your nearby Android device running Move to iOS. After you enter a security code, it will begin transferring your content and put it in the right places. Just like that. Once your content has been transferred, you’re ready to get going. That’s it — you can start using your new iPhone or iPad and experiencing its endless possibilities. Enjoy.

From 2pm trying from samsung note 10 to Iphone 14 , Only whatsapp take 15 hours . And fail ! Absolutely useless. The process is long and frustrating, the ux is horrible (the app won't let you know what's going on until after it fails, and then it won't tell you why it did. the progress bar does'nt work) and in the end this app simply doesn't do the job.

Atrocious! Despite some other reviews you can try cable transfers, but it doesn't matter since it just flat doesn't work. There is very little feedback in the app, explaining what it's doing at any given moment, if you lock your Android screen it craps out, or sometimes the iPhone just says "transfer failed" while the android app is just acting as if it's doing it's thing. Anyway, Apple, I'd be happy to come work for you and get this all straightened out, just let me know.

Switching to iPhone 17. I almost gave up but eventually got it right and successfully transferred about 22250 items in 1hr:35 minutes at one go. The app also allowed me to remove the cable from one of the phones to have it other charged as it was running out of battery. Rated it 3/5 because nothing ever tested my patience so much in life. Having both phones connected to the same WIFI network, and the same U-cable yet both should be charging at the same time was quite complicated to comprehend.
