the latest story chapter not being part of the full version purchase is a big middle finger to players. I had purchased the full version last year and played until ch. VII, which was the latest available at the time. I just went to check on the game for the first time in a few months, the newest chapter is out (VIII), and I don't have access to it despite having paid for the full version.

Every new update now requires you to redownload every chapter you own to play it again. The charting is a mess on newer songs. The newest chapter of the ALREADY PAID main story is locked behind a paywall. The game is much more unoptimized and laggy compared to when it released years ago. There are currencies and energy systems that were introduced that made the overall experience worse. Subscription service songs. This game went from my favourite rhythm game to a soulless cashgrab.

If you havent played every song on Ultra, you havent played this game. Very challenging, a few songs have very unique mechanics. Though personally i prefer the songs without voices, intrumentals and such. There is a lot of room for improvement, a lot of songs to be had, but i have an axe to grind with the latest update's system of charging money for songs. You're already paying for the game, why not make the whole experience free like VOEZ? Otherwise, absolutely fantastic game. Very challenging.
