I'm learning German, and the vocabulary is generally useful for actual life, the pacing is nice and example sentences are appropriate. More often than I would like, though, the translation is ambiguous (not specifying the type of word, its number or its case) resulting in "failing" and having to repeat a word that you might know perfectly. In some rare cases the translations are plainly wrong. I expect more from a paid subscription this expensive. Still my favorite language app.

Best learning language app so far! It stands out with its simplicity, a core functionality having its central place, allowing you to focus on what matters most without unnecessary flashy distractions. One downside is that it often takes a very long time to see reported translation issues getting fixed. Nevertheless, it assisted me in my journey for the past 10 years and I'm still amazed by the results regarding vocabulary and developing a "feeling" about what is right in given context.

Going on Dutch placement test, the word options were limited e.g. rejecting Feestje for Feest and pronounding "-en" at the end of words which is not standard. Also need another test and examples of lessons before pushing for a free trial since the placement is very easy. Seems like nummer and cijfer were accepted synonyms, but it seems based on reports from users so I don't think it is good to learn since you would need to wait for this, and have bad pronounciation with no explantion.

Thank you for the detailed feedback. We appreciate you pointing out the issues with the Dutch placement test, accepted word forms, and pronunciation. We understand how important accurate audio and flexible answers are for learning, and we’ll share your comments with our content team for further review and improvement.
